Why does basil mold in the pot?

- Basil after purchasetransplanting (It is better to repot basil from the supermarket as it is intended for immediate consumption and has not been watered properly)
- Make surecorrect watering behavior (avoid waterlogging and pour off excess water after about 30 minutes)

Stop using soil with mold
Even if the basil leaves can still be eaten, the moldy soil should under no circumstances be used. After all, the mold can be located not only on the surface, but also inside. It is recommended to repot the plant in suitable new soil (€6.00 on Amazon) and to clean the old pot thoroughly with a brush and vinegar solution beforehand. It can then be reused.
