Where should you plant elf flowers?
The ideal location for elf flowers is partially shaded to shady, never in full sun. The soil should be well-drained, nutrient-rich, moist, humus-rich and clayey. Protection from wind and fertilization with leaves, compost or peat are recommended.
Never plant in direct sunlight
The elf flower grows best in a semi-shady to shady location. Words like arid and full sun mean their death sentence sooner or later. Therefore it should never be planted in direct sunlight. However, locations under other woody plants such as trees and bushes are well suited.
The slightly poisonous elf flower also values soil that is conducive to it:
- well drained
- high nutrient content
- humid environment
- medium to high humus content
- preferably rich in clay
- fertilize regularly with leaf compost (€41.00 on Amazon) or peat
Tip
Since the elf flower does not tolerate wind well, it should be placed in a sheltered place.
