The Spanish daisy prefers a sunny to partially shaded, warm location with loose, well-drained, nutrient-rich and moderately moist soil. Potting soil is sufficient for pot cultivation, while slightly sandy or gravelly soils are suitable outdoors.

Since this perennial comes from Mexico and mainly inhabits rocky places, it also places similar demands on the local location in the garden. It wants to feel like home. This means that you should choose a sunny to partially shaded, warm place for the plant.
