Cool location in winter
You cannot care for a money tree in the flower window all year round because it is simply too warm there in winter. Place it in a place where it is very bright but sufficiently cool.
The ideal temperatures in winter are around 11 degrees. The money tree also needs to be kept quite dry at this time.
Many gardening enthusiasts swear by keeping a money tree as cool and dry as possible in winter. However, the often held opinion that money trees are short-day plants and therefore have to be kept dark is incorrect. If you keep a money tree too dark, the shoots will rot. This does not stimulate flower formation.
Tip
You should only cut an older money tree - if at all - when the flowering period is over. Otherwise there is a risk that you will accidentally remove the inflorescences.
