To make a lawnmower quieter, consider replacing a damaged blade. To do this you will need a new knife, screws, washers and a wrench. With a correct knife, vibrations and noise levels are reduced.

To replace the chipped knife bar, all you need is a new, correct model (€17.00 on Amazon), new screws with washers and a wrench. Before you start the actual assembly work, please pull the plug from the spark plug and turn off the fuel tap. How to properly replace a lawnmower blade:
- Tilt the lawn mower to the side so that the spark plug and air filter point upwards
- Block the knife bar with a piece of wood
- Stabilize the knife with one hand to loosen the screws with the other hand
- Remove the old knife bar using slight twisting movements
Please note that some lawn mower models have screws with a left-hand thread at this point. Place the new lawn mower blade exactly onto the screw opening and screw in the screws and washers. For safety reasons, we recommend a torque wrench for this work so that you can screw in the screws precisely according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Once the new blade bar is in place, tip the lawnmower back onto its wheels. Place the spark plug connector on the spark plug and turn on the fuel tap. The next time you cut the lawn, your lawn mower will run as quietly as it did on the first day.
