How should you water a coconut palm properly?
When watering a coconut palm, lukewarm or rainwater should be used regularly without causing waterlogging. The surface of the substrate should dry slightly in between and the palm tree should be sprayed with water if necessary.
How often does a coconut palm need to be watered?
You should water your coconut palm regularly and avoid waterlogging at all costs. Otherwise the nut could rot. The frequency depends on the amount of watering. The substrate should always dry slightly on the surface.
Dry leaves do not necessarily mean that the palm tree has not been watered enough. They can also be the result of too low humidity. Therefore, spray your palm tree frequently with lukewarm water, for example rainwater.
Not all water is the same
Since coconut palms love warmth, they of course don't like cold water for irrigation. Very hard water is also not recommended.
